Denver trip

We're back. Thought we would share some photos of our trip. Darren says that we can't call it a vacation because it was too much work to be considered a vacation. :) These pictures were taken Wednesday at the Children's Museum in Denver. The kids loved this! Definitely Kenzie's favorite part of the trip. Em, if you ever need a stop for the kids in Denver, they would love it. They even had a little place for Camrie to play. It's $7 a person for ages 1 and above so a little pricey, but we spent about 4 hours here.

Also Em, Darren and I laughed about your comment of our kids not fighting. Rylie had hit Mason with a toy earlier that day and gave him a bloody nose so it was ironic that we read your Blog that nite. These Draper kids are in the running for the fighting award with the Kynastons. I tried to remind Darren that he used to fight with his siblings. He said mostly Becca. I can only imagine. :)

I'll post more pictures later. Oh how I love pictures.

Bye!

Ang

Our first offer!!

Today we are putting our first offer in on a house. I am trying not to get too excited because everyone that I have talked to said that you never get the first one you like. It is a three bedroom two bath with a large fenced back yard. We will be right next to penguin park so I thought Emily's kids would love that. Like I said earlier- I am trying not to get too excited. :)
I can't wait to see everyone next week and I hope anyone that can is planning on coming over on Friday- we fly in at 7:30 in the morning. Heath- are you coming down at all before the campout? I hope so, but I know the long hard hours that Danen works so I understand if you can't. See most of you soon.

Love,

Nicole

That's neat about the Dallin Oaks thing. Can be pretty certain that something like that will never happen out here!!! We are enjoying the 2nd day in a row of amazingly cool temperatures. Yesterday's high was around 66 degrees, and today's high is supposed to be less than 80. That's a welcome change of last weeks scorching 106!!! Still bored as ever!!! The kids are going crazy and being constantly mean to each other!!! It's evident that we've gone wrong somewhere in the amount of flat out meaness that occurs at our house. What's D and Angs secret for siblings that don't fight? Love to hear it!! Another day of nothing. There's nothing to do around here. Talk to you all later. Emily

Special Sunday

Hi Folks,
Just a note to let ya know about our special Sunday. I walk in and sit by San' and Jen and San' says to me,"look who's on the stand". I look and Courtney Duke is up there. I say," Wow is Courtney 12 all ready!? Sandee elbows me and says "the other side". Behold, Elder Dallin Oaks is sitting next to the bishop. He talked to us about 15 minutes and spent the three hour block with us. It was really nice .He said our steeple looked friendly so he thought he'd join us for the sacrament. Just a note forEm', sorry I missed you when I called back Sunday. Love ya all, Dad

Then everyone bring their favorite cereal for Wednesday morning and we all share. Also bring treats and drinks for your family.

Any questions, comments, or corrections, you know how to blog. :)

Emily, are you there?

Hey Em. This seems like the easiest way to keep in touch, so I'm using the blog for a little personal business. :) We have just scheduled a last minute family vacation to Denver. We'll be arriving in the city Tuesday nite and leaving Friday. Wednesday we want to go to Rocky Mountain National Park. Other things on our agenda are a Rockies game and the Children's Museum.

We want to know if you want to come visit. We are staying at the Comfort Inn in Denver. It's about $45-$50 a nite. So, the question is, can you come? Totally understandable if you can't. We would come all the way to Kansas but I think an 8 hour drive is pushing it for Camrie and I don't think I can ask more of her. :) I guess that's it. We would love to see your family, you and your kids, or just you. Let me know.

Love,
Ang

PS Anyone else that wants to meet us in Denver is also invited (even girls).

Family vacation is coming closer. I found the website for the site we have reserved if you want to check it out. Be thinking of eating ideas.

Well, the Birthday hike was a success. We ate tons, hiked a bit, and even caught some fish. The scenery was beautiful, but the bugs were plentiful. Here's a few shots...

Ryan's idea of a good time......

Bear Lake

Alright everyone. It's almost family vacation time. Time to send me all your great ideas. I'm going to send the remaining $ to the lady hopefully this week so if you could send me the money when you get a chance, that would be great. It's $70 for all you childless couples out there. Torsells have already paid. That should give us a little extra than the $300 we owe, so I thought we could give your parents back some or keep it for food or perhaps rent a toy. Ideas? Please send or comment all of your ideas and suggestions. Thanks.

Sincerely,
The Family Vacation Director 2005
