Draper family campout July 2015

Just thought I'd get a little information out there about this years campout to be held at Kamp Kynaston. The dates to be in Kansas/Missouri can be as flexible as you need however actual Draper family campout activities will begin as early as you make it to Kansas to as long as you'd like to stay. Both the Biblers and the Kynaston's are up to having visitors we just ask for a heads up with communication to let us know. 😊

For the "planners" out there:

July 2-3 Kanopolis Lake (only 40 minutes from McPherson)

Needed meals: (lunch and dinner 2nd) (breakfast, lunch 3rd)

Camping experience of Kansas :), lake fun---including swimming, jet ski's, fishing,campground fun, camp food fun, horse theif canyon hike....

Kanopolis lake cabins sleep up to 6 (on a bed). They are air conditioned and have a small kitchenette. We reserved 3 of these last summer the first day they were available but because the rest were already all reserved, only 3. Therefore, Along with our trailer, and whatever other arrangements we can make we will try to help people sleep semi-comfortable. If you want to pull your trailer 1000 miles you are welcome to. Let me know and I will reserve a site for you. Brian and I have done this several times, it makes for a very long ride!

July 3(evening) return to Kynaston home

Outdoor movie night

Girls shopping or Mac downtown time

July 4

Needed meals: Lunch, dinner

Old fashioned 4th of July flag ceremony and outdoor pancake breakfast

Swimming

Men's golfing trip

Daytime Bowling tournament

BBQ

Lawn games with "prizes"

Swimming

Fireworks

July 5

Needed meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner

9:00-10:05 Newton Ward sacrament meeting (For those that want to attend) will only stay for sacrament meeting

Bonding Sunday style---frisbee golf game at local park...Will be VERY hot

Chill at the Kynaston home movies, cards, games

So now, who's in! And when! Can't wait.

For the cost we are asking for 50$ per family to cover paper products, camping fees, etc. The cabins were a little over 100$ a night. We also ask that you pick a meal to be in charge of. We appreciate the opportunity to host this and hope you can all make it! Please reply to post with confirmation of when you'll be here and what meal.
