Torsell Update

First, I'd like to say that Kenzie acting like me is such a compliment, thanks Ang! Let's see, well Ryan has been working his life away and going to school. He is the official sponsor of Wilson and loves to wear the attire when he plays raquetball. He's looking forward to playing dad and beating him. I have just been taking care of kids and changing poopy diapers. I baby-sit a little boy on Mondays and Tuesdays. The little boy doesn't like Jaxon and Jaxon doesn't like the little boy. Hopefully, they will become friends soon. Jaxon is just getting bigger and bigger and he just loves to hang out. We're hoping to have him wrestling by 6 months. Here are a few pictures. Josh's new girlfriend is really nice and cute. Talk to you all later!

A new blog

Hey everyone. Other Draper here. I love reading Emily's blogs. You put a smile on my face in the midst of this crazy life we try to lead. I feel for you with the cleaning. Name the movie : "I feel like a maid. I just cleaned up this place. Can't you keep it clean for like 10 minutes?" Answer is at the bottom.

Not much new here. Mason is still liking basketball. (The pic of him - he looks so old.) Kenzie thinks she should hang out with her friends all day everyday and don't bother her with petty stuff like conversation. :) Just kidding, she's a good kid, but definitely showing a bit of Becca in her. Rylie is constantly trying to get Mason in trouble and those 2 have been fighting like crazy. I've about decided to put them in a room and just let them at each other. I think Mason would have the upper hand in that however. Camrie has been so dang cute lately. I wish I could freeze her right now. She does the best pretend mad face. (Hopefully it somewhat shows on the picture.) She is talking like crazy saying: Mase, toes, Dora, boots, eyes, Rylie, Grandpa of course, Josh, and many more. She also has one word for downstairs, drink, and dance. You can usually figure it out be her actions. :)

That's it here. I'm enjoying the new den leader calling but actually miss nursery and can't find it in myself to go to Sunday School yet. I'll try on Sunday. Darren will have to blog for himself. Bye everyone!

THE KYNASTON WEEKLY NEWS....EMILY REPORTING

Here's another breakdown of the Kynaston week. Tonight Brian teaches a class for ACCK which is the small colleges around here. He'll be doing this for the next 6 weeks. Tomorrow, we'll start the day with some exercise, clean the house, do 46 loads of laundry and then I have a shower to go to at 1:00 and then we'll pick up the kids from school. Brian referees 2 games tomorrow night. Jessie will have gymnastics. Wednesday, is school, clean the house, do 46 loads of laundry, exercise, pick up kids, church/cubscouts (for Bri and Tay). Thursday is school, exercise, clean the house, do 46 loads of laundry, Make dinner for the missionaries, Bri go on splits with the missionaries. Friday is school, clean the house, do 46 loads of laundry, exercise, pick up kids, Brian refs 2 basketball games, I have a nervous breakdown from being with the kids all day and night this week, then put the kids to bed at 6:45 so I can collect my thoughts by Saturday morning when we'll go to a basketball game and then , clean the house, do 46 loads of laundry, exercise, and take care of the 8 puppies that were born yesterday and this morning. They are very cute and it looks like the mother is doing a great job of making sure she takes care of them since I will be too sleepy to do it for her:) Have a great day and still waiting for some happy bloggging. If you haven't noticed, we're a little attention deprived out here and would love to hear what's going on in anyone's neck of the woods.

Saturday, January 28, 2006

Come on people...we need some blogs! We went to a basketball game for Tay this morning. It was fun to watch but almost just as frustrating because I can't do it for him! Jessie went to a "CHEER" camp this morning and I'm so glad I'm not doing that for her:) She had fun and gets to perform at the Central Christian College Basketball game tonight. Now in about 2 minutes she gets to go to a birthday party at the YMCA. Brian refs 2 ganes at the high school today. We have German Shorthair Puppies to be born any day. Kelcie is fighting a cold, Lexi is fighting whoever is around her, and I am enjoying cleaning the house like crazy. Bri's dad is here visiting to help us with the puppies, and that's about it. Talk to you all later.

em's basement....

For everyone that wants to see where we live...this is or freshly painted basement and a picture of the front of our house. The green on the walls looks way more muted in this picutre than it really is. Goodbye all!

Birthday Gift Cards

Okay, so I think everyone is okay with the gift card idea for birthdays this year. It was decided $5 per person per birthday would make a gift card for $55 to the place of your choice. If you would like to donate more please be sure to do the same amount for everyone. Remember, this in no way excuses you from calling your brothers and sisters to wish them a happy birthday. :o) Since Nicole will be the first birthday and it's not until June there is time to save if needed. The total for everyone, 11 people (12 including you) is broken down like this:

D & Ang: $110
Em & Bri: $110
Bec & Ry: $110
Heath & Danen: $110
Nic & Ben: $110
Josh: $55
Jenn: $55

Please comment to this blog (EVERYONE) where you would like your gift card from. I am trying to be extremely professional in this e-mail since I don't get to be professional anymore. hee hee

Here ya go Cole

Cole requested a picture with my hair down, and I finally put the pictures on a disk...so here ya go! (The one with me in the pinkish sweater is the one you bought for me). Sorry you guys have seen so much of me lately on the blog! Sorry I couldn't figure out how to turn the pictures the other way. Obviously I need more practice at this. And I thought I'd throw one in of Danen at Graduation so you can all see the proof that he did it!

Flash from the past

Well, I've had a revealing morning. Revealing in that I'm learning more and more about my past as time passes on. I stumbled across a cassette tape that Em and I made when we were bored one day (at least that's the excuse I keep giving myself for our behavior). It's got some pretty classic skits on it - now digitized for posterity's sake. It's hard to tell, but it sounds like Em, me, and Cole on most of the recordings.

By my calculations, the tape was made some time around 1984 - 20 years ago! Anyway, it's pretty fun. I'll give you a sample below for you to download and listen to youself, but will have to save the bulk of it for a CD.

Check any of these out (.mp3 format):

Darren's Answering Machine

Cole's Rendition of the Three Little Pigs

The Comedy Show

Also available on our soon to be released CD: Smash hits "Freak-a-zoid", "Thriller", and "Somebody's Watching Me".

Don't delay, pre-order your copy today!

-D-

P.S. After thinking a little more about this whole deal, I've concluded that either:

A. I really was a freakazoid when I was 12 or 13.

Or

B. We make our kids grow up way too fast these days.

Maybe the truth lies in a little of both.

Bibler Update

The Bibler's are at the Kynaston's and we have just had wisdom teeth removed, two crowns, cavities filled and a root canal. Who else wants to come to the Kynastons? Brian did an excellent job and we are staying here overnight so we can hang out and Dr. Kynaston can oversee our recovery.

Ben started school last Wednesday and we are taking an English class together that I think will be a lot of fun. Work is going good and we are enjoying good health.

Ben is cheering for the Bronco's and I am cheering for the team that is playing the Broncos!! I think that's about it for the Bibler's. Hopefully it won't be to long before we see everyone!

Love you!

The Bateman Summary

Well, hello! I decided to summarize what is going on in the Bateman house since I am not a very good blogger and don't do it often enough. I am getting bigger and bigger every single day and we have started to be able to feel the baby kicking from the outside! That's been pretty exciting for us. We are also very excited about the cruise that we will be going on in about 2 weeks. I'll be excited if I can fit into anything that even looks like a swimsuit! Danen is excited to use his new snorkling gear and to swim for a week straight. We were going to come to S.J. this weekend since I have no work on Monday...but then Danen told me that he got next Saturday off work so we could go next weekend for Mom's b-day, so I think that's when you'll see us next. I will post a picture on Monday of my new hair cut/color so that you will all be able to recognize me when you see me next. Danen is always looking for a new business adventure, so who knows where his ideas will take us over these next few months. Well, that's a pretty good update for what's going on in the Bateman house! Hope everything is going good for everyone and I LOVE reading all the updates!

Mr. Torsell's Update!

Well school has started, this is probably one of my toughest semesters yet. I have Human Anatomy, World Civilization, Exercise Physiology, and then I have a couple easy classes, weight lifting, and raquetball. I still am working full-time at ARUP....thanks Heather. I'm very excited for saturday, when the Broncos take on the Patriots. Everything else is good, have a good day everyone.

Jenn's Summary

Well, I always read the blog but often find I never post anything, and with the complaints and all I thought you would all like to hear what I have been doing lately. (If you don't want to hear, too bad!)
Because it is near the end of second quarter, I am rushing to get caught up in History and English. Registration for next year was just handed out, and I am quite excited to announce the beginning of my teaching career... I am going to apply to be a pre-school teacher at the Bingham High Pre-School. (And because Mrs. Graves likes me, I think I have a pretty good chance!)
Other than hangin out with my friends and basically being mall rats, that's all I have been up to!
Here's the Kynaston Summary:

Taylor is now 8 years old and has just begun his 3rd basketball season. We are currently struggling with the coach to change practice times because it it on Wednesday nights and our whole town has"church" that night. We of course go to cub scouts. He is happily reading a book (1 of 3) about what happened after the first 6 episodes of Star Wars...can't quite get enough of that. Tommorow he will be going bowling after school for a birthday party.

Jessie is now 5 1/2 years old and an very energetic kindergartener. She is enjoying gymnastics and doesn't at all think it's "nasty". She gets to take her parachute that she got for Christmas to school tomorrow. Believe me, she's been waiting for this day!!! She had good reports on this 9 weeks report card and loves school.

Lexi is now 3 years old. She had fun yesterday when she went to the YMCA with me in the morning, then to the library, and to top it off we went to Dad's office and to Taco Bell. After such a long outing she needed some theraputic TV watching. I think we watched Dora for 1 1/2 hours straight! She helped me wash windows today and enjoyed a little jumprope with her big sister after school.

Kelcie our baby is almost 10 months old. She jabbers all the time. Right now she is mimicking BRian and trying to say "dog" "da dad ada da d dda da" pretty darn close. She's a jumping bean and loves our puppy crazy maisy! Today she got to hang out at the "Y" with big sister. I'm sure she came in contact with many different bacterias and viruses today. Hopefully she will fend them off!!

Tonight, we are lucky enough to have Cole and Ben come visit. I guess the unlucky one is Ben since he has an appoinintment to get a couple of his wisdom teeth out tommorow. I think I'll try to talk Cole into Water Polo just before her dental appointment.

Talk to everyone later!!!
P.S. I want to see Heath's hair!

hi

Here is what is happening at our house. This is what happens when we take the camera out to take pictures of Jaxon. Isn't he such a card! We had a great time at Mason's basketball game. Here are a few shots from that too.

Anything to Report?

Haven't heard from anyone for awhile. Isn't there anything to report or is your house in January mode like ours?

Mason made 2 baskets in his basketball game on Tuesday. His first of his career. He was quite excited that Uncle Ryan and Aunt Becca saw it.

Kenzie is just distraught. It looks like her best friend will be moving to California. There's a slim chance she'll stay, but I doubt it.

Rylie is nice and grumpy due to the refusal to take a nap or sleep in.

Camrie is a trooper. She is happy and yet at her 15 month appointment yesterday, we discovered she has an ear infection. I'm sure she'll just be ecstatic when she gets more of those antibiotics in her. :)

Darren is just being Mr. Incredible, like usual.

I'm just hoping to read something new on the blog. Ha ha.

Take care everyone! When do we get to see the Batemans?

Legacy Center Directions

This is mostly for the Torsells. :) To get to the Legacy center, take the Lehi exit. It's not the Alpine Highway exit. It's the first exit after Thanksgiving Point. If you've gone to the Roller Mills, you've gone too far. Off of the exit go through one stop light. A couple of blocks later, one block before the next stop light, turn right. It's down that street a ways on your right. Does that help?

Mason's Basketball Schedule

Here's is Mason's schedule. They're all on Tuesdays and are all at the Legacy center on the south court. You walk into the front of the Legacy center (south doors) and go through the big double doors and it's the first basketball court on your left. The gym is divided in half (East and West). If you can't see us, we're probably sitting upstairs. Cam doesn't like to sit still on benches for some reason.

Thanks again for everyone's participation and support at Tay's baptism. I'm sure it was a memorable experience for him. We were back to the grind today! I was sustained as the "music lady" in relief society...I think we'll have a relief society choir...well maybe not but I'll do my best at this "I'm not too excited about this" calling. Again, it was so fun to see everyone. Love Em
