Kelcie's B-day and March Continued

Roller Skating. Kelcie did a MUCH better job this year than last, she was going around alone. I do wonder if she spent more time on the ground than on her skates, but she loved it. Jessie was a good big sister, and helped Kelcie if she needed it.

Numb-chuck skills, computer hacking skills, and skating skills. Taylor and Lexi are also good on the skates. I think that it helps that our Elementary school does a 4 week skating unit each year. Fun times!

For Kelcie's birthday party the girls made their own princesses to pin the princess on the castle (that Jessie drew). It was so fun. Each princess was very unique.

One of the gifts that Kelcie got was mix your own glow in the dark chalk. It really glowed!

Time for limbo...about 1.5 seconds after this picture was taken, Lexi slammed into the boy sitting on the floor! She was so mad because it disqualified her from winning!

Bri took the kids camping and shooting trap. They all had a fabulous time and I relaxed and went to a movie (beastly) with a friend. By the way, Beastly was barley even worth renting!

Vegas

Kenz and I just got back from Vegas.  Kenz had a soccer tourney there and I tagged along.  D played Mr. Mom for the weekend and the kids haven't that much fun in a long time. 
 

Kenz played a lot of soccer and hung out with her team.  I took a lot of pictures and watched soccer. 

We went to the Strip one nite and that was a horrible experience.  The next morning some of us went to the temple to do some baptisms and that was an amazing, wonderful experience. 

Now back to real life...

Now, since my sweet baby Kelcie Beth is in school, I have spent a lot of this year delvelpoing new interests. I read a TON of books about Yoga, living a zen-like life, self-improvement, part of Ben Franklins auto-biography, spiritual solutions to every day problems, boot-camp for brides, 200 healthiest foods, some fiction, and several more. With that said, I am beginning to enjoy the "self" time. Today I painted my first picture on canvas. I loved it!!

Baby Chicks

We took a trip to Vernal to buy baby chicks from IFA. It was buy twelve get one free. We came home with fourteen! The boys love them. They are loud, dirty and stinky. We're not sure if we are going to build a chicken coop or send them out to Grandpa and Grandma Torsell's house in a few weeks.

Zoo

We had a fantastic trip to the zoo yesterday!  Weather was superb, animals were great - we loved it.  Quite a few animals entertained us today.  There were lots of monkeys out and about, the elephants are always a hit, the leopard and tiger were roaming their territory, there was a lemur we wanted to pet, and we even saw some wolves.  Our favorites were probably the little baby colobus monkey and the snowball eating orangutan.  Fun, I know.
